Fig Brownie Balls

These are amazing.  They don’t require an oven, and are perfect for the hot days that are inevitably coming up soon!  The two minutes of your time that’s required to make these is well worth it, I can promise you that.

With layers of flavor, you won’t believe that these have no added sugar.  If you like fig newtons, chocolate, or almonds, and even if you don’t like any or you like all three, you have to try them!


8 dried calimyrna figs*

1 oz (24) almonds

1 Tbsp cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Throw all the ingredient in a blender, hand blender, or food processor, and blend!  You may have to pick it up and shake it or scrape down the sides a couple of times, but you’ll know it’s done when there are no more whole figs or almonds left.  Once blended, roll mixture into balls, and enjoy!


*Make sure you cut the stems off.  It is really no fun biting into one of them.
